Life as a business
Unless you have a perfect life, there’s always more to learn, but if you’re one of those lucky few that have it all figured out, then I applaud you and encourage you to share your story so we may learn too. For the rest of us, there’s work to be done, and this is where we get started working on our future and keep ourselves accountable. Together as a community, we can share our lives, both the good and the bad, and keep one another in check with gentle feedback and encouraging words. To start, let’s talk about living our lives like a business. This may sound odd at first, especially for a business blog, but to run a successful business, you need to know who you are, the true you, and a lot of business practices can help you live a better life. Mission statements, budgets, and marketing are all common business practices, and they can be important in your personal life as well. We’ll explore these and other topics in upcoming posts, but for now, let’s focus on moving forward. As mentioned in the Introduction, this blog is a series of challenges, topics, essays, and whatever else comes our way to help us explore this wonderful thing we call life, both the personal and the business, as one intersects the other and back. The goal is to keep the topics weekly and short, under five minutes, so you can read them and jump in and apply what you’ve learned to your life. And as the conversation evolves and as you feel led, please feel free to reach out to suggest new topics or even add a post of your own. You are a part of this adventure, and your story is important to us. And remember, there’s nothing required of you other than what you require of yourself, so follow along as you can, participate when you feel called to, and always feel free to share your story, knowing it will help others as they travel a similar path. There are no fees, and nothing is required of you other than what you give, so take it in, challenge yourself, and stretch your life in everyway possible. We only have this one life and I pray you make it everything you always wanted. To you, and a new day! S-
